TERMINAL BLOCK

General Operating Conditions
(1) Operating Temperatures (Allowing for rise in temperature)
PBT  - 40 - +90°C
Phenol Resin - 30 - +80°C
Nylon 66 - 25 - +80°C
Polycarbonate  - 30 - +110°C
Polyvinyl Chloride - 20 - +50°C
(2) Relative humidity: 45  - 85 %
(3) Altitude : below 2,000meters

Rating
(1) Voltage ... Determined by the insulation distance and voItage endurance test
(2) Current .... Determined by testing the temperature range

Materials
(1)PBT (Polybutylene Terephthalate) Heat resistant plastic based on thermoplastic polyester. Excellent measurement stability as well as mechanical, electric and drug resistant properties. Also fire resistant.

(2)Phenol Resins (Phenolics) Thermosetting materials that are used widely for electrical instruments. Excellent stability and fire resistant properties.

(3)Terminals (Conductive Plates) High conductivity Brass or high performance Bronze, each plated with Tin (Sn 90%, Pb 10%), Nickel, Gold or other metals, are available.

(4)Connection Screws Steel or alloyed Copper based. A wide selection including free terminal, flat washer and spring washer screws are available to meet your needs and requirements effectively. All screws are plated with Nickel to prevent rust.

PERFORMANCE

Temperature Test
The rated current is applied until the temperature stabilizes. The rise in temperature should be no more than 45°C.

lnsulation Resistance
Insulation Resistance is measured between the charge and metal points under normal temperatures and humidity with a DC500V insulation resistance

   testing device.
   PBT Over 1,000 M OHM
Phenol Resin  Over 100 M OHM

Voltage Endurance Test
An AC 50/60 (Hz) voltage test is applied for one minute between the charge and metal points to ensure that no insulation breakdown occurs.

Heat Resistance Test Even when set in a 120°C thermostatic chamber for two hours, there was no damage to any part of the product.

Cold Resistance Test
After leaving in a –40°C thermostatic chamber for two hours, there was no damage to any part of the product.

Moisture Resistance Test
After leaving in a WC thermostatic chamber with 95% humidity for 48 hours, the precipitation was cleared and the moisture resistance determined.

   PBT over 1,000M OHM
   Phenol Resin over 50M OHM

General Tolerance : ±0.5
Metal Finishing: Gold, Nickel, Chromate, Stannum over Zinc
and Tin Lead Alloy (Sn 90wt% Lead 10wt%) electroplating
